This is the original portrait and my final edit of the portrait.

For the edit i increased the saturation, went over the hair with a paint brush at black and overlay setting with 20% opacity. I used the paint brush to change the eye colour also. I tried to smooth out where the latex and real skin met, to do so i used the clone stamp on a small opacity (20%) and evened out some of the skin like where some bits had lighter paint by using that technique too.

The movie poster I’m going to do is this “Avatar” one. I’m choosing this one as it’s most appropriate as there’s a female willing to do this so I wanted one with the female leading character and the back ground is one that I can do minus the helicopters/planes. I’m getting a make-up artist to help with the look of it too.

My plan is to merge pictures like this together.

The fact that I’m doing something to do with music for my self portrait makes it seem easy for me since it’s quite clear to tell that it’s what i enjoy just unfortunetly I don’t play any instruments any more. I just like keeping most other things to myself, I don’t like giving things away so much. Surprisingly I keep a lot to myself so to make my portrait seem more difficult I’m considering doing a bit of a montage but I’m unsure. I’m gonna do some test shots soon anyway.

This is a friend of mine’s self portraits. I had inspiration off of these to do my ones with candles.

Plan for self portrait.

I’m planning on doing it in my own bedroom. I want to imitate a picture I posted already that Ben Heine took a part of his Pencil Vs Camera series. As i really enjoy music, live gigs, etc. I’m going to sit on my bed in front of my gig ticket collection (just the ones i’ve kept) also on that wall is some posters and gig flyers so it all ties together as I’m going to hold a piece of paper which I’ll have the shape of a body on then a cartoon style heart with music notes all over it too inside the body to represent music flowing inside of me as it’s an industry I want to be a part of by doing music photography, I enjoy gigs a lot and always have something to do with a band on wither it’s my TITP wristbands and/or a band t-shirt. I thought it was a creative twist but all relevant.

Andy Warhol self portrait.
I really like the angle he has took this at, it’s different as it’s kind of half profile like it’s not quite there yet.

Previous self portraits.

1. Taken at the start of the year during the snow time, I wanted to have a contradiction between the snow & the candles so cold & warmth sort of thing & I decided to just do it in my back garden with myself.

2. I was helping a friend out as I had recently purchased some of his clothing line so I took a picture wearing it to promote it. The picture ended up on the website for the particular t-shirt.

Ben Heine - 53 of his Pencil Vs Camera series.
I’m thinking of doing something like this ‘cept a diferent drawing on the paper & me holding it.
